2018 Nature Journal Book
My 2018 Nature Journal Book is the culmination of a year of documenting the changes in the seasons where I live.
I used a hand made concertina watercolour sketchbook to paint my observations from January to December. I had such a huge response and interest in my finished journal, that I began to look into having it published and printed for sale.
Being a concertina/accordian style I found it hard to find a printer that would take it on, and had no idea where to start with having it properly published..
So I began learning how to make books myself, in order to create a handmade version of my journal.
The end result is a hand fabric bound book, with a concertina pull out of my years journal, and a written section. The book covers 1 year, 4 seasons, 30 pages and 122 drawings., approximately 3 1/2 metres of paintings.
